SOX IT Intern

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented SOX IT  Intern - 10 month Assignment  to join our team! In this role you will have an exciting opportunity to assist with work that touches across the full range of IT General Controls (ITGC) activities at Parsons.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Learn and enrich your knowledge of SOX IT compliance:
  • Learn detailed applications of ITGC in support of key SOX sections (404 and 302)
  • Learn how to review and understand Service Organization Control (SOC) reports
  • Understand control design and efficacy related to SOX IT compliance
• Learn and understand the various ITGC control categories and their application at Parsons, including controls for:
  • Access to Programs and Data
  • Software Maintenance
  • System Development and Implementation
  • Computer Operations
• Review control documentation to learn about and assess compliance with stated guidelines and to assist with improving the organization
• Prepare required SOX walkthrough documentation for key ITGC controls in the organization providing opportunities to develop your writing and editing skills
• Review, verify, and format information into templates for use within and outside the unit using Parsons systems, Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat
• Meet and network with IT managers and executives as you assist with the SOX ITGC controls
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
