Junior Test Automation Engineer

Vultr is seeking a highly skilled and Junior Test Automation Engineer to report to the Site Reliability Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who is excited about UI and API test automation. What to expect:

• Test Automation Development: Write efficient and maintainable UI and API tests, including thorough documentation and test reporting to ensure transparency and reproducibility of test results.
• Test Automation Maintenance: Maintain existing tests to ensure continued support for the ways customers use our services.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams to align development efforts with reliability, scalability, and business objectives.
• Documentation: Produce high-quality test plans for APIs, systems, and processes to ensure stability, speed, and scalability.

Our new team member will need:

• Experience in writing automated tests using Python (Selenium)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and knowledge of cloud-based services
• Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to address automation challenges
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work cross-functionally with teams and stakeholders
• A commitment to continuous learning and fostering a culture of technical excellence

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with running tests through GitLab CI
• Proficiency with observability tools such as Grafana for monitoring and reporting test failures
• Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes or other similar technologies
• Familiarity with Database as a Service (DBaaS)
• Knowledge of cloud-based storage solutions
