Software Engineer

As a full stack software engineer, build new products and/or enhance existing products. Akamai's Next Generation portal delivers an exceptional end user experience in interacting with Akamai solutions. We provide a platform that enables Akamai and third parties to deliver innovative products/features in a distributed development model.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Building new products and/or enhance existing products for 'Zero Trust' solution
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Building/testing/maintaining scalable frontend solutions (Angular, HTML, CSS) and backend services (Java, Python, Go)
• Reviewing all technical documents pertaining to requirements, design, and architecture
• Taking complete ownership of your designated work from design to deployment
• Using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, OpenAI API, Anthropic Claude, LangChain, or similar) to accelerate development.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Have experience with Java/Python/Go web application development, REST, microservices, springboot, messaging systems (like RabbitMQ) and caching technologies
• Possess good problem solving, analytical skills and data structures and algorithms
• Demonstrate experience in UI technologies such as Angular, HTML5, CSS3 and familiar with general concepts of responsiveness
• Have experience working with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle etc.)
• Be passionate, self-driven and able to excel with minimum supervision
• Demonstrate an understanding of web application architecture, DNS, and API design.
