Answering to the Business Development Manager, the Sales Application Engineer – CCP will be responsible for driving high levels of growth via market share capture all while seeking new potential markets not being served today. Position will be an energetic hunter seeking new customers and a farmer managing customer relationships to maximize customer value. Incumbent will need to handle both commercial and technical aspects of assigned accounts while serving as liaison with the factory.

Key Responsibilities
- Achieve hyper growth in the Custom Coil Products sub-vertical through either OEM or Distribution sales channels.
- Learn and use 80/20 principles to identify perfect prospects, develop customer relationships and manage customer expectations.
- Give Modine and Custom Coil Products presentations to potential customers.
- Learn in-house software to provide assistance, or in some cases, to perform customer design and quoting.
- Role will be expected to handle both commercial and technical aspects of customer relationships and will need to work with customer engineering, procurement, quality and C-Suite level contacts.
- Represent Modine at applicable industry trade shows or customer events.
- Provide periodic forecasting of expected sales and be a major part of the annual planning process by providing year over year growth expectations on a customer by customer basis.
- Assist with quality issue resolution by providing background information for completion of Voice of Customer data system driving fast containment and corrective action, as necessary.
- Assist with field issues by helping troubleshoot potential problems and working with factory team to expedite resolution.
- Provide customer training of Modine software and capabilities, as required.
- Provide timely follow-ups on any customer inquiries or questions.
- Cadenced travel to meet customers or to factory as required.

Required Education & Qualifications
- BS Degree in an applicable engineering or engineering technology field or a BA Degree in Business Administration or similar with a strong technical mindset and applicable experience.
- Ability to read and interpret customer drawings, equipment schedules and job specifications.
- Strong decision making, interpersonal and communication skills along with excellent computer skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills along with the ability to handle multiple projects effectively.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with HVACR market channels with direct knowledge of refrigerant, fluid and steam based cooling and heating systems.
- Background in Heat Transfer or Thermodynamics.
- SAP knowledge.
- Experience using 80/20 business model processes.
