As a Claim Representative, you will be communicating with Builders, Homeowners, Field Adjusters, Engineers, Contractors, and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities include reviewing new losses, fully investigating coverage, ordering inspections, evaluating repair options and costs, managing repairs or negotiating final disposition of claims with appropriate parties, and issuing timely determinations or payments to conclude Workmanship, Systems and Structural Warranty Claims. You may manage arbitration and recovery efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Frequent, timely, and professional verbal and written communication with Builders, Homeowners, Vendors, and internal stakeholders.
 - Perform detailed claim investigations, evaluate and settle new home workmanship, systems and structural defect claims in accordance with company guidelines.
 - Review and interpret technical warranty and insurance policy terms and conditions, and to apply them to make proper coverage determinations.
 - Manage claim files, establish loss, and expense reserves.
 - Collect and analyze builder, vendor, engineering, and loss data, interpret engineering and expert reports, review and adjust repair estimates, negotiate settlements, and resolve claims.
 - Communicate warranty responsibilities and standards to builders, homeowners, internal stakeholders, and others to provide warranty guidance, expedite warranted repairs or resolve insurance claims.
 - Keep accurate, timely and professional claim file notes. Upload electronic claims file records timely with appropriate labeling.
 - Follow claim guidelines, processes, and procedures.
 - Pursue recovery opportunities.
 - May assume other duties as applied.

Preferred Skills:
- Ability to interpret policies and prepare coverage letters.
 - Home Warranty, Property, or General Liability experience.
 - Property estimating experience or the ability to evaluate estimate appropriateness.
 
Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience in the property/casualty insurance, or home warranty insurance industries.
 - 0-2 Years of Claims Adjusting Experience, Warranty, Property or GL Experience preferred
 - Current Property and Casualty License
