Alpha Omega is searching for a curious, hands-on AI Automation Engineer who’s excited to explore new technologies, large language models (LLMs), and intelligent automation frameworks. You’ll join a fast-moving innovation team working at the intersection of AI, RPA, and cybersecurity automation — helping us build and scale solutions that power the next generation of digital transformation across federal and commercial enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and deploy automation workflows integrating AI models, RPA bots, and API-based microservices.
- Develop, test, and fine-tune LLM-powered agents for document processing, compliance validation, and decision support.
- Support the engineering team in enhancing our intelligent automation framework (UiPath, Power Automate, Python).
- Collaborate with senior engineers to research and implement emerging AI tools, vector databases, and model pipelines.
- Integrate third-party APIs and SDKs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, Azure OpenAI).
- Contribute to prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and internal demos for AI-enabled automation initiatives.
- Participate in Agile sprints, documentation, and collaborative code reviews.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience.

Experience/Skills:
- 0–2 years of experience in AI, automation, or software development (internships and academic projects count!).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts such as prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, embedding search, or RAG pipelines.
- Interest or experience with automation platforms like UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate, or Automation Anywhere.
- Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, Git, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and willingness to learn multiple tech stacks quickly.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, can-do attitude.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Experience developing with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or vector databases (Pinecone, Chroma, Weaviate).
- Exposure to cybersecurity, compliance automation, or data engineering concepts.
- Participation in AI hackathons, open-source projects, or published LLM demos.
