Job Description

The focus of this position will be to provide technical product support for Hexagon’s Public Safety market which includes call taking, dispatching, situational awareness, records management, analytics, and mobile solutions. Candidate will be a member of a team that is responsible for providing technical product assistance to our customer support and services teams globally.

  • Apply basic principles, theories, and concepts to achieve resolution of complex technical product issues in a timely manner while adapting to ever-changing priorities
  • Apply troubleshooting skills to analyze problems, research issues, and perform high-level debugging
  • Interface directly with Hexagon customer support and services teams globally to assist in resolution of technical product issues
  • Interface directly with end-customers to resolve technical product issues
  • Interface directly with software development and product management to address issues requiring product code changes
  • Travel to customer sites required (less than 25%)

Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
  • Prior customer support experience a plus
  • Public safety domain experience preferred
  • Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle database experience a plus
  • Hardware and/or networking troubleshooting experience a plus
  • Strong analytical skills to effectively troubleshoot and analyze complex technical issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Team player with ability to work collaboratively
