The Ad Sales team helps merchants grow with Shopify’s native digital advertising product, Shop Campaigns. This team plays a pivotal role in selling, implementing, and influencing the direction of the product to make the best digital advertising solution for merchants.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve quarterly paid advertising activation targets and overall ad spend quota.
- Partner with Customer Success Managers to develop a territory plan for a book of 250+ merchants.
- Run consultative sales cycles with merchants ranging from $5M to $200M in GMV to activate new ad campaigns and grow existing ad spend.
- Communicate feedback effectively with Product, Product Marketing, and Revenue Operations to influence the Shop Campaigns product roadmap.
- Progress a pipeline of 30+ opportunities forward weekly.
Qualifications:
- Experience in high-volume, transactional sales and deeper, consultative sales–this role will require you to balance both cycles at once with a pipeline of 30+ opportunities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — capable of building trusting relationships and effectively conveying the value of Shopify’s offerings internally and externally.
- History of over-achieving quarterly sales quotas.
- Adept at defining and exceeding weekly activity, pipeline generation and close-won goals.
- Self-motivated and driven by results, with the tenacity to pursue leads and close deals.
- Experience with CRM tools (eg: Salesforce) and familiarity with sales engagement platforms preferred.
