Analyzes and develops policies and benefit plans covering group life, accident and health insurance, retirement and pension plans, income continuation and other benefit programs. Maintains an ongoing effort to determine and maintain equity with current benefit trends and legislated requirements and programs. Gathers data and participates in the analysis of employee benefits issues and trends. Conducts and participates in benefits surveys. Analyzes results to determine their impact.
Responsibilities:
- Provides functional support related to third party benefits administration system and feeds including documentation and testing.
 - Ensures the integrity of the data required for successful administration by the third-party administrator, including system audits, system testing, new hires, terminations, status changes, annual enrollment, etc.
 - Responsible for maintaining JDE Payroll benefit tables.
 - Responsible for documenting policies and procedures related to third party systems and JDE Payroll.
 - Responsible for verifying and processing monthly, quarterly, and annual benefits insurance billing.
 - 401(k) administrative responsibility.
 - H & W, 401(k) and leave/ADA Policy Project co-partnership administrative duties.
 - Providing support through partnership with HR Ops and Benefit Department.
 - Provides end user support related to benefits for JDE Payroll.
 - Provides routine and ad hoc reporting and analysis as required, including quarterly experience, claims analysis, financial and annual enrollment reporting.
 - Spearheads compliance to ensure that benefit administration outsourced to third parties are administered in accordance with plan provisions and regulations.
 - First pass in the preparation and review of communication materials.
 - Leads annual open enrollment planning and execution, including employee communications, system readiness, and vendor coordination.
 - Manages leave of absence programs including short-term disability, long-term disability, ADA accommodations, and FMLA compliance.
 - May assume other duties as applied.
 
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Maintains a working knowledge of all federal and state laws related to employee benefits
 - Maintains a working knowledge of state laws that may affect employee benefits
 - Understanding of standard benefit concepts and practices
 - Proficient in Word, Excel, Access, etc.
 - Minimum proficiency in HRIS (benefits/payroll or accounting a plus)
 - Experience leading open enrollment
 - Hands on experience and expertise with leave of absence and leave of absence management
 
Physical Role Requirements: Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day. Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers and phones. Repetitive motions using hands and digits; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements: 
- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred
 
Minimum Experience required (number of years necessary to perform role): 
- 7+ years of relevant experience
