£28,000 - £35,000 GBP yearly
Support

We’re looking for a proactive and technically confident Junior IT Support Technician to join our internal IT team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (with a strong chance of becoming permanent). If you enjoy helping people, love technology, and thrive in a remote-first environment, this could be your perfect fit. This is an exciting opportunity for a junior engineer to develop their skills, working alongside and learning from a highly experienced team in a supportive, hands-on environment.

We’re a friendly organisation who love solving problems and making sure everything runs smoothly, without the complexities often found in more corporate settings.

You’ll be our go-to person for 1st line support, helping colleagues across the UK and US stay productive, secure, and connected. While the role is remote, you’ll have plenty of interaction with the team, and we’ll work together to keep things smooth and stress-free.

Your standard workday will be from 12:00 to 20:30 UK time (including an hour lunch), giving you a later start and alignment with our US-based colleagues. We value flexibility so, while your hours will be consistent, there may occasionally be some adjustments for cross-time zone collaboration.

What You’ll Be Doing

Technical Support

  • Be the first point of contact for technical support via Freshservice (or similar)
  • Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft 365, Intune, and macOS devices
  • Provide day-to-day user support to keep the team up and running

Tech Operations & Maintenance

  • Support our Microsoft 365 environment (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Manage macOS devices with Mosyle and Apple Business Manager
  • Help administer Azure AD, Active Directory, and device security tools like CrowdStrike or Microsoft Defender
  • Support server environments (Windows and Linux) and virtualization tools (Hyper-V, VMware)

Process & Documentation Champion

  • Contribute to internal IT documentation
  • Suggest improvements to workflows to help us get better every day

What We’re Looking For

  • To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring the following skills and experience - these are essential for the position.
  • Proven experience in IT support or system administration
  • Confidence working with:
  • Microsoft 365 and Intune
  • macOS (using Mosyle and Apple Business Manager)
  • Endpoint protection (e.g. CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender)
  • Windows and Linux server environments
  • Virtualization tools like Hyper-V and VMware
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools such as Freshservice
  • Strong communication skills and a people-first approach to support
  • The ability to work independently in a fully remote setup
