The Data Entry Specialist (Technology) ensures accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of data across multiple systems supporting early childhood programs. Validates data, utilizes reports, and coordinates with internal program teams to uphold high-quality data standards.
What you'll do:
- Enters and manages participant, staff, and program data into various data management systems (e.g., ChildPlus, CARES).
- Utilizes reports and data exports to guide and validate data entry processes, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Coordinates with program teams to collect, verify, and update data such as child enrollment, attendance, medical records, and family member details.
- Prepares, analyzes, and submits monthly and quarterly reports to internal stakeholders and external agencies.
- Supports data audits and quality assurance efforts by identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborates with the technology department and program staff to troubleshoot data issues and improve system workflows.
- Meets with program management regarding data entry needs.
Candidate qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or coursework in data management, information systems, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrates experience in data entry and data coordination roles required; in early childhood or human services settings strongly preferred.
- Demonstrates familiarity with ChildPlus and/or other early childhood participant data management platforms strongly preferred.
- Demonstrates proven experience using data reports to guide entry and validation processes preferred.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills, both written and oral; consistently writes clearly and concisely for various mediums and audiences.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues and program staff.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrates initiative, consistent follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrates intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft 365 and Outlook, and develops competency with applicable web-based systems used by the programs within the first 90 days of employment.
- Must have access to transit or other reliable transportation to execute the position’s responsibilities.
