Associate Software Engineer

This position is responsible for working as part of a team enhancing and maintaining existing software products as well as developing new products. The ideal candidate has a strong desire for excellence, is a continual learner, and problem solver. The ideal candidate has experience with IBM i, RPG, and CL as well as Linux or Unix.

What You'll Do

• Implement all assigned tasks
• Will work within a team structure
• Collaborate with customer support to diagnose and resolve escalated requests, including participating in calls with customers.
• Diagnose and fix assigned defects and enhancements within the assigned project.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Relevant coursework or experience with IBM i, RPG, and/or CL preferred.
• Relevant coursework or experience with Linux/Unix preferred.
• Some knowledge and understanding of the Agile/Scrum Project development methodology preferred.
• Good communications skills both verbal and written.
• The ability to collaborate and work with on team are necessary.
• Some previous coding experience is necessary - either in an education or professional environment.
