The Billing Coordinator / Accounting Clerk plays a critical role in supporting the Accounts Receivable operations for Optum’s U.S.-based healthcare financial services. This position functions primarily as a coordinator, ensuring timely and accurate communication with internal teams and external clients via email, complying to strict SLAs, while maintaining compliance with U.S. Protected Health Information (PHI) standards.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate billing activities for U.S. healthcare accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
- Manage moderate to high volumes of professional email correspondence with clients, payers, and internal stakeholders from multiple mailboxes
- Monitor and track account statuses, escalate issues as needed, and support resolution efforts in collaboration with the AR team
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA and other U.S. healthcare privacy regulations
- Assist in preparing minor reports
- Support process improvements and contribute to team efficiency and service quality
- Sales and Purchase Order Entry and Maintenance via SAP
- Credit Memo Entry and Maintenance via SAP and Oracle
- Managing Tickets through EnterpriseNow
- Solid coordination and teamwork across various functions

Required Qualifications:
- At least college graduate
- Telecommuting Requirements:
- Ability to keep all company sensitive information secure
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service. (having access to a reliable backup power source is considered a plus, especially for this role involving remote work)

- Solid proficiency in business English, both verbal and written; able to communicate clearly and professionally via email

Preferred Qualification:
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, or other platforms providing CRM services such as EnterpriseNow, or comparable systems
